Controls Engineer Software designer

We are looking to hire a skilled Controls Engineer with E-PLAN, AutoCAD experience! You will be working remotely to design and analyzing system requirements, hardware design writing PLC code with Allen Bradley, testing system efficiency, and providing operational support as needed.

To ensure success as a Controls Engineer, you should have excellent knowledge of machine mechanics, a logical approach, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Software Designer Responsibilities:

This is a Remote/On-Site role

· Meeting with clients and teammates virtually to discuss their mechanical or electrical process requirements.

· Experience working remotely is an asset

· At least 3 years’ experience Hardware/Software Design/Offline PLC

· PLC design on multiple projects

· E-PLAN experience is an asset

· Commissioning on site experience is an asset

· AutoCAD electrical experience

. Hardware and software design on GM, FCA, Ford, tier 1 is an asset

MUST have commissioning experience and field experience.

· Following customer specifications and standards closely.

· Creation of Bill of Materials

· Documenting development processes.

· Providing clients with technical support.

· Self Starter, Organized, Great Communicator

· Knowledge of software and Hardware design principles.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Overseeing the successful Electrical installation.

· Ability to work independently role with the possibility of 50% travel.

Qualification and Experience:

• Senior Lead Controls/Design Engineer 8+ years
• Intermediate Controls/Design Engineer 3+ years
• AutoCAD Electrical Design Experience Required
• Thorough knowledge of PLC, HMI and Robotic integration utilizing Siemens/Allen Bradley controls hardware/software.
• Commissioning of motion devices such as Servo, VFD, Soft Starters
• Extensive commissioning experience.
• Stellantis, Tesla, Rivian, Ford, Tier 1, GM GCCS2, GCCH1 certification is an asset
• Safety Commissioning
• Position requires travel to customer's locations.
