Robot Programmer - Paint Shop

Location: , MI

Painting Robot Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and maintaining robotic systems for paint application processes. You will work on optimizing robot performance to ensure high-quality paint finishes for various industrial applications. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues while collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and configure painting robots for various industrial applications
  • Optimize robotic paint application processes to achieve high-quality finishes
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic systems
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to enhance robot performance
  • Document programming processes and maintain up-to-date technical records

Qualifications And Skills

Familiar with Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Nachi or Kuka Paint Robots

Paint/Sealant Shop Experience

Has previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry and can work in a team or independently to solve problems. Has excellent communication skills, is a self-starter, organized and maintains an excellent work ethic

The candidates may know about paint process, film build up and addressing orange peel and paint quality issues.

sealer experience either in paint or prior to the paint shop we can look at, acronyms like underbody seam seal, exterior seam seal, interior seam seal & exterior seam seal, Hem Sealing, liquid apply sound dampening, cavity wax.

Familiar with 1k & 2k paint systems, paint atomizers - rotary bells

Experience with Line Tracking

Fiat Chrysler, GM, Ford, Tier 1, BodyShop, BatteryShop and BuildShop experience is an asset

GRS certification is an asset

Requirements:

  • up to 90% Travel required
  • Valid North American Passport (Can, US, Mex)
  • Degree or cedula (MEX)
  • Proficient English Required* (Professional)
